It was a beautiful day - cool and overcast. A slight chilled breeze swept in from the north. The perfect day to go for a dip in the heated pool, wouldn't you agree?
Well, Panda wouldn't. Because Panda couldn't swim. Wouldn't swim. She had tried several times...and failed miserably. One time, she almost drowned in her pursuit of buoyancy, and was rushed to the emergency room. It was not a pleasant 4th of July by any standards.
And so, she glared at her adversary, glinting at her, the reflection of the stormy sky from the skylight, in its waters only heightened her terror. She dug her nails into her palms, drawing blood. Turning stiffly, she strode in the direction of the sauna. A good sweat would help clear her mind...and calm her down.
Her pink jelly-sandals shone in the lamps along the way, the glitter within catching the artificial light. In no time at all, she'd arrived. Her hand reached out and eased open the door. Before she stepped inside, she slipped off her shoes, leaving them just to the left of the doorway, and ammended the heat-level. It was far too low. She wanted to sweat like she had just run a marathon.
She glanced around. The room was empty. Perfect. She wanderef to the other side, the side furthest to the door, and sat delicately, placing her pink organic-cotton bag beside her. She dripped a little water on the coals, and revelled in the cleansing properties of the steam. After a good five minutes, she drew a book from her bag, opened it to a marked page, and started to read slowly...leisurely.
